All the D.O.C wines. and d.o.c.g. submitted for admission are checked beforehand wine from the tasting Technical Committee composed of members of the’O.N.A.FRUT V. (National Wine Tasters) and A.E.I. (Association Enotecnici Italiani). Are allowed to show only eligible wines.
Enoteca, located in the small square Abrahm Levi, in Palazzo Robellini, later Dagna Sabina Palace. As most of the buildings that are located in Borgo San Pietro, the Palace's origins sixteenth. A lintel of the entrance porch bears the name of Giovanni Antonio Robellini an ancient owner, that was different in the 18th century restoration. The facade has of sixteenth-century capitals supported by masonry columns and depicting the coats of arms of the family. A grand staircase leads to the first floor, where are the international representation and small dining rooms adorned with Murano glass chandeliers and, decorated with medallions painted with scenes of the landscape, fillers in floral and fruits of the four seasons. One of them also owns an 18th-century marble fireplace. The doors are topped by views of Acqui, Gallant and bucolic scenes.
The Regional Enoteca, inaugurated in 1981, located in the basement of the Palace, in old cellars, divided into several rooms by overcoming vaults, with exposed brick walls and wooden furniture in rustic Italian style. In these typical environments is presented a collection of traditional instruments related to the world of grapes and wine.
